Welcome to ViewPoint RV Park &
Cottages! The Shuswap with its abundance of activities and incredible sights, promises to make your vacation a memorable experience for you, your family and your friends.
Dennis and Carol are the proud owners of Viewpoint RV Park and Cottages. We took over as the new campground owners in 2015 and can say we are really enjoying the experience. We get to meet and interact with so many wonderful people from all over the world. Each day brings with it new and exciting opportunities to visit with and serve you, our guests.
Dennis and Carol moved to Salmon Arm, British Columbia from Winnipeg, Manitoba . Each summer we visited our children and grandchildren in Calgary and on the BC coast. The Viewpoint RV and Cottages, with its bountiful array of flowers and eye-catching red roofs enticed us to stop as it was about at the half way point. Soon it was one of our favourite campgrounds. When it became available in 2014 we quickly decided that this was the place for us and are so glad God brought us here for our “retirement”. After all we get to enjoy the beautiful view of the Shuswap Lake, the surrounding mountains, the wonderful weather and you, our guests.
Dennis is a retired bricklayer, chef and small engine repairman. He is putting to good use many of the skills he has learned over the years. You can often see him smoothing out the gravel on the driveway, picking up garbage as well as numerous other chores he can find to do with his new best friend, his John Deere tractor.
Carol is a retired teacher. She misses the constant interaction with staff and children so she quite enjoys visiting with the guests. As well, besides keeping the cottages and the RV park washrooms clean, she enjoys beautifying the yard with hundreds of colourful flowers.
Our mission is to:
- ensure your stay is enjoyable, relaxing and of high quality
- serve our guests with integrity and honesty
- provide a “state of the art” campground, washrooms and laundry facility for your use
- provide super clean, functional accommodations with reasonable rates
- provide information on a wide selection of activities, events and things to see and do in the Shuswap

We look forward to hosting you and having the opportunity to interact with you, serve you and share our excellent facilities!

Welcome to our beautiful countryside RV Park, located on the Trans Canada Highway between Vancouver, B.C. and Calgary, Alberta. We are located just outside Salmon Arm, in the heart of British Columbia, with mountains on one side and the sunny Shuswap Lake on the other. The beautifully manicured 2.5 acres will brighten your stay, whether it is overnight, several days, or more.
Our business provides 7 fully self contained cottages, 13 RV sites with full hookups (water, power, sewer, internet,wi-fi, telephone, cable TV), and a grassy site for tents as well.
The RV sites and the campground are among beautiful pine and cedar trees and have a large grassy area for recreation. Picnic tables and a central fireplace, with free firewood, are available for our guests. Your children will enjoy our swings, slide, toys and the basketball hoop.
Each cottage is bright, spacious and completely self-contained with bedroom, livingroom, kitchen and bath. Direct Dial phones, cable TV, wired and wireless internet and queen size beds are standard. The futons in the living room make it easy to accommodate up to 4 persons per cabin. The kitchen is equipped with dishes, cutlery, pots & pans and microwave. Coffee, tea, sugar and creamer are provided in each cabin as well.
Enjoy your dinner in one of the restaurants in Salmon Arm or prepare your meals yourself in our cottages, at your campsite or on our BBQ smoking grills.
Tell your best story while savouring a glass of wine and sitting around our fire place with your friends. Sometimes we even have live entertainment provided by our guests themselves! Have a great time and enjoy it.
